It can be transported horizontally, inclined or vertically, and has the advantages of simple structure, small cross-sectional area, good sealing, convenient operation, easy maintenance, and convenient closed transportation. Screw conveyors can be divided into shaft screw conveyors and shaftless screw conveyors in terms of conveying form, and can be divided into U-shaped screw conveyors and tubular screw conveyors in terms of appearance. The shafted screw conveyor is suitable for non-viscous dry powder materials and small particle materials (such as: cement, fly ash, lime, grain, etc.), while the shaftless screw conveyor is suitable for conveying viscous and easily entangled materials. (Example: sludge, biomass, garbage, etc.) The working principle of the screw conveyor is that the rotating screw blades push the material to be transported by the screw conveyor, and the force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blade is the material’s own weight and The frictional resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material. 7) The unit energy consumption is relatively large.

8) The material is easy to grind and wear during the conveying process, and the wear of the spiral blade and the trough is also serious.

Structure

(1) The spiral blades of the screw conveyor have three types: solid spiral surface type, belt spiral surface type and blade spiral surface type. The solid spiral surface is called s method, and its spiral pitch GX type is 0.8 times the diameter of the blade. LS type screw conveyor is suitable for conveying powdery and granular materials. The belt-type helical surface is also called the D method, and its helical pitch is the same as the diameter of the helical blade, which is suitable for conveying powdery and small pieces of materials. Blade-type helicoids are rarely used and are mainly used for conveying high viscosity and compressible materials. During the conveying process, stirring, mixing and other processes are completed at the same time. The helical pitch is about 1.2 times the diameter of the helical blade.

(2) The screw blades of the screw conveyor have two rotation directions, left-handed and right-handed.

(3) The types of screw conveyors include horizontal fixed screw conveyors and vertical screw conveyors. The horizontal fixed screw conveyor is the most commonly used type. The vertical screw conveyor is used for short-distance lifting of materials, and the conveying height is generally not more than 8m. The screw blade is a solid surface, and it must have a horizontal screw feeding to ensure the necessary feeding pressure.

(4) At the material outlet end of LS and GX type screw conveyors, 1/2~1 circle of reverse spiral blades should be set to prevent the powder from clogging the end.
