Fluidized bed dryer is an enhanced special-purpose drying device, which is usually used for final drying of materials. Since the material is fluidized by mechanical vibration during the drying process, it not only facilitates the turbulent flow in the boundary layer, enhances heat and mass transfer, but also ensures that the drying equipment works under relatively stable flow conditions. In addition to the excellent drying function, this equipment can also be equipped with material granulation, cooling, screening and conveying processes according to the process requirements. It has been widely used in industrial sectors such as sugar, medicine, fertilizer, chemical industry, plastics, dairy products, salt industry, and mining and metallurgy. This technology is basically mature and has been serialized.

Working principle of fluidized bed dryer

Continuous fluidized bed dryer is also called horizontal fluidized bed dryer. A certain amount of air enters the dryer after being filtered, dehumidified (optional) and heated, and the temperature of the incoming air can be precisely controlled. The wet material is evenly fed into the first chamber of the fluidized bed (with a rake device) through the feeder, and fully contacted with the hot air. The semi-dry products after passing through the first chamber are basically in a loose state, which ensures the flow quality of the whole drying process and finally meets the drying requirements of the products. The entrained fine powder exhaust gas that has been in contact with the material, relying on the principle of equipment volume expansion, makes the fine powder reach an ideal sedimentation velocity in the drying chamber, thereby minimizing the fine powder content in the discharged air. The exhaust gas is dedusted by the cyclone separator and the bag filter, and then washed by the water curtain dust collector before being released into the air.
